Description:
Along with its off-road racing success, the Edge Barracuda’s hunting ground has been expanded by several drivers to include on-road motorsport events. When the high traction of tarmac combines with the tight low-speed cornering of autocross or rally hairpins, a limited slip differential can provide the extra edge in maneuvering and power delivery. Enter the Quaife QDF-7ZR chain drive LSD: a proven racing unit which can now be installed in your Barracuda or X2 buggy. Any PIRCV or CV2 rear suspension assembly can be converted (original PIRCV units with a CAL032 caliper will need to upgrade to the XVS caliper). Original arms, uprights and driveshafts can be used, with no loss to performance or suspension travel.
Plans and laser cutting files for parts and assemblies to install a Quaife QDF-7ZR chain drive differential in the CV2 rear suspension assembly. Also suits PIRCV rear suspension.
These plans supplement the standard CV2 plans (required if building a new buggy).
This is a digital download of the plans PDF file and laser cutting files required to install the Quaife differential.
Laser cutting files: the enclosed DXF file(s) should be provided directly to your local laser cutter. In order to view DXF files on your computer we recommend the free viewer DWGSee.
