Description:
3D printing files (STL) for the 3-part Hayabusa log manifold assembly. Suits both Gen I and Gen II Hayabusa airboxes. Sculpted internal geometry to maintain a constant flow profile throughout the manifold.
Consists of an elbow, intake and bridge. The 100mm (4") intake fits standard hose (e.g. silicone intake ducting) or a pod-type pre-cleaner - anything with a 100mm I.D. mounting tube! The manifold parts slide together and should be sealed with a silicone sealant. The manifold end pieces need to be fitted with M5 aluminium threaded inserts e.g. Avdel Nutserts as shown (total 4 inserts). These then fasten the manifold to the standard Hayabusa Gen II airbox using M5 bolts.
These STL files (x3) need to be sliced in software suitable for your 3D printer. The parts were test-printed with PLA filament at 0.3mm layer height and 25% infill on a Makerbot Replicator 2. The manifold ends can be printed with the mounting flanges upon the print bed, and support structures are necessary. The bridge can be printed standing upright without support structures. After printing ensure all support structures and printing fragments have been fully removed.
Before fitting the manifold to your engine ensure it meets your particular requirements. Check the structural integrity of your print, keeping in mind the vibration and impact loads which could be experienced.
